What is stored

Questions and answers are saved on the server. Your optional name and emoji are display preferences stored only in this browser, separately for each poll. They are not sent with your answers. Clearing browser storage removes these preferences.

A random secret in an essential, HttpOnly cookie lets you return to your own answers. The server stores its hash with your participation. The cookie lasts up to 180 days. We do not need your real identity to save your votes.

What others see

The audience and public website integrations see questions, participation and answer counts, and the aggregate results the host chooses to publish. The host and authorized presentation agents may read unpublished aggregates. None of these views includes participant names, identifiers or individual answer records. Only your own browser credential can retrieve your own answers.

Anyone with the participant link can join. Anonymous participation does not guarantee one vote per human if someone changes browser. Results from very small groups may allow others to infer an answer. Information already displayed or copied cannot be made secret again.

Host and agent keys

The private host link grants management access. Agent keys are limited to one poll, expire automatically and can be revoked by the host. They are stored as hashes. Never share these secrets with the audience or include them in public presentation code.

Operations and deletion

We measure page categories, broad screen sizes, interface language, sharing actions and service totals in our own Umami analytics. The collector receives no visitor IP address, real browser fingerprint, poll code, question text, answer choice, name or credential. There are no analytics cookies or individual visitor profiles. Browser usage signals respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Operational counters, including saved writes and errors, are independent of these optional browser signals.

We use essential cookies and no advertising tracking. Visitor IP addresses are not stored in poll data, application access logs or analytics. Abuse protection briefly processes the address into a keyed, minute-scoped digest; only that digest and a counter are kept in memory for at most 60 seconds. Reset retains earlier answers in a private run archive. Poll deletion removes all its runs, answers and agent keys. Encrypted backups may retain earlier data until their retention period ends; restoring an older backup requires reapplying deletions and revocations.
